Dances with Wolves

I was just thinking that G's hair look a bit like Kicking Bird from the movie Dances with Wolves...

Lunch with the girls

Amy hosted a little lunch for myself her cousin, and our girls. The pics shows Georgia (8 weeks), Audrey (5 1/2 months), and Emma (9 1/2) weeks. G and Audrey tried a variety of poses. Emma slept through the whole thing except when she tried to eat Audrey's head during the picture.

I should also mention that Georgia went to the Dr. for a stuffy nose while my parents were here. She weighed in at a solid 9 lbs. That was exactly two weeks after her 7lb weigh in. That is a gain of a pound a week on average! She is well into her size 0-3 month clothes and is almost too long for those with feet. She is in a 3-6 month outfit here. Way to grow girl!

Grandpa and a bath

Grandpa Kirk got to try out the new spa tub he bought for G before she was born. As you can see they had quite a good time swimming around and relaxing after.

Lovin' on Grandma Gaye

G also got to love a bit on Grandma Gaye. Just the girls. So sweet!

Chillin with Gramps

My parents came into town from CA for 5 days. We had a wonderful time and it was tough to see them go. Georgia spent a large part of their visit just hanging with Grandpa Kirk. That was when he wasn't helping build shelves, hanging wallboard, and installing kitchen hardware. What a guy!

Cuz Cy

My cousin Cy (3 days younger than me) had some business in CT and came up to our house last Friday night. It was great to see him. I hadn't seen him in 5 years. We made lasagna and caught up. It was fabulous.

My parents and sister came in from CA later that night. It was almost a reunion!

Super bowl daddy

Amy got a cute pic of Brendan and her husband Paul watching the babies as the Patriots lost. This was a sad state to live in today.

Georgia basically ate for 12 hours straight that afternoon/evening. This was a short reprieve for mama.

Bigger than a bag of sugar

So, when Georgia was born my mom was shopping at the grocery store and picked up a bag of sugar. It hit her that Georgia was smaller than that bag of sugar. Well, Georgia had her one month appointment last Friday (she is five weeks now) and is officially bigger than a bag of sugar. She is came weighing in at 7 pounds 1 ounce and 20.5 inches! that translates to 3% for weight, 17% for height and catching up like a rocket. She has now outgrown her preemie outfits and is beginning to bust out of the newborn sizes. That means she finally will soon get to wear all of her cute 0-3 month items!

Also, I realize that the pic doesn't have a bag of sugar but a 1lb box was the best we could do on short notice.
