Water Babies

Our friends Amy and Paul were nice enough to let us stay with them as our stairs were being replaced. Emma and Georgia had a great time playing. Here they are taking a big girl bath.

What cute little bathing beauties.

So silly G.

Weekend fun

We had such a good weekend. Georgia's art show was on Friday night. They had posted all the kids individual art all over the walls of the center, framed with the artist's name and medium. Georgia had entered a nice white chalk drawing on blue construction paper. Somewhat modern (minimalist) in style. Each class then had a group piece that could be bid on. Kara of course spent her money on raffle tickets to win one of the fabulous 18 art baskets. After writing Georgia's name 60 times...we found out we won two of the baskets on Monday! They are filled with crayons, markers, stickers, chalk, playdoh, paint, and other craft items. One of the baskets is toddler friendly and Georgia already tore into it last night. We are saving the other for when she won't actually eat the items.

The super fabulous art baskets.

Look! Crayons for little hands!

We also bought a new grill (thanks to work for all the travel rewards on Kara's Visa). Beren, Shawn, and Paul all came over to celebrate our first cooking adventure on it.

Now that Paul is walking Georgia tried to show him how to boogie on two legs without holding onto anything (she hasn't quite mastered it but is trying really hard everytime a good tune comes on). Paul thought she was silly...
Paul likes to see what else will go down the ball popper chute. The sippy cup was a no. Georgia thought he was silly...

Pigtails!

Georgia came home from school with her first set of pigtails this week. It was so exciting. Here she is with a pair from this morning. Mama's version is a little more crooked than Crystal's.... Anyway, she is almost a little girl and it is so much fun. Georgia just got a bunch of Funny Girl Design hair clips from Amy and Emma. They are so cute! March sale running right now for all my friends with little darlings. Just enter March20.

Art auction at school tonight. Georgia has a piece. Should be fun!

Whad up?

Walking and talking

Georgia almost seems like a little girl now. She is surprising us all the time with new words. Yesterday she was totally focused on the bubbles. See video below to hear her saying "bubble." "More", "No", and "Yeah" are her favorite words by far though.

Georgia tries new things all the time. She realized she couldn't eat her peas using this spoon.

Give it to me! Let me try!
(We see this face all the time now.)

Sippy cups? Not for Georgia.

Georgia keeps wanting to drink out of our cups rather than her sippy cup. Although baby backwash is a treat, we decided to go ahead and teach her how to do it on her own.

Daddy presents the proper technique.

Then helps G apply the technique.

And she is off!

And so proud of herself!

Daddy's home!

Daddy came back from a week in Hawaii. He left the girls alone just before the big snowstorm. We were cool though. Shoveling snow is good for the soul. He brought sunshine back for the weekend, allowing us to take Georgia for her first outdoor ride in the Red Flyer wagon. She loved it! We even stopped by and visited Jon and Greg. Then the snow, hail, and rain fell again... Spring please come soon! Daddy even shaved his beard as a sort of good weather serenade.

Here are some black and whites from the week. Nothing too exciting happened while we waited for the snow to melt. Except Georgia is on the move...running all over the place now.

Snow Day

Georgia, Rocky, and I had a snow day today. Here is a video of us playing with Meghan the cheerleader puppet. See how Georgia gives her a kiss.
