Latest conversation driving home:
G: Why didn't Amy answer the phone?
K: It's the last day of school, she is probably celebrating.
G: How do she celebrate?
K: She is probably drinking wine.
G: You drink wine.
K: Yes, I do. I like wine.
G: If you drink a lot of wine...then you have to go to the Dr.
I have no idea where she got this from but it cracked me up.

Introducing Elmo
Disneyland with Daddy
We had a great Father's Day at Disneyland. Georgia LOVED meeting all the characters and going on rides. Quinn wasn't too sure about them. Minnie Mouse actually made him cry. He loved the rides though and danced all the way through Its a Small World. He even went on his first carousal ride.
Happy Fathers Day Daddy!
Parks Parks and Parks
Our kids love parks. We love parks because they make the kids tired! Quinn is getting very sure of himself! Climbing slides and jumping off ledges...oy!

Skeletons in my house?
One day the girls were giggling in the playroom. They were so excited to show us skeletons. Turns out D and G were the skeletons! Bella had drawn ribs, arm bones, leg bones, face bones, hearts, and veins all over the girls (the hearts and veins were even in red pen). Luckily it came off with a group bath and some tinkerbell scrubbing.
The skeletons and the artist.

Now those are some funny bones.
Oh my! A scary skeleton!

Beach
We of course spent a lot of beach time with the Paradiso's, even discovering some new spots ourselves. The most exciting fun was finding the tidepools!
Legoland
The first day the Paradiso's were here we went to Legoland. Which was awesome. Georgia even went on a little roller coaster. I could feel her heart beating so fast!

Posing outside of Legoland.
Quinn and Leni. Is it love?
The Paradiso family came for a visit. It was a wonderful time and we were so sad to see them go. The mamas were encouraged by a blooming affection between Quinn and Leni. They loved trying to pull on and eat each others faces. It may be love. Stay tuned over the next few decades...

Easter!
We had a great Easter day this year. Lily, Mike and Annie came over for an early Easter egg hunt and brunch. Then we saw Georgia's cousins from Ventura county!
The kids sat patiently as we explained the rules of Easter egg hunting
(you know...don't nab eggs from the other's basket) Georgia and Quinn taking a break after hunting.
Pretty flower.
O.K. Ladies, save some eggs for me!

Quinn's first haircut
Quinn is getting to be such a big boy. He is exploding with new words this week, some of which we can actually understand (Mama, Dadda, Georgia (jor-ja), Bird (behd), thank you (ti-tu) and is walking about 5 steps at a time. We figured it was time for a haircut. As usual he was very observant and cooperative.

Vacation!
Last week we had a fabulous vacation with about 30 Orvis family members and friends. We stayed in Coronado CA. Although the weather was not as cooperative as we would have liked, we played by the pool, got massages, and had some wonderful dinners. The ending event was Grandpa Kirk's 60th birthday party. BBQ by the pool with s'mores and dancing to end the night. All in all it was pretty wonderful.
The party goers.
