7 Months Old!
Yep. I am seven months old. I can do a yoga plank and get up into a sitting position by myself. I clap my hands, say Bah Bah Bah, Mah Mah Mah, and Dah Dah Dah. I crawl backwards and can roll across a room. I love dancing with my Mama and eating Mum Mum biscuits by myself. I have the most beautiful (brown?green?) friendly eyes and grin all the time. I laugh out loud and my teachers think I'm super smart. I love watching my sister more than anything in the world and am constantly trying to get her attention. I also love taking a bath and can do a back float during swim lessons with Daddy. When my Mama picks me up from school I grab her face between my hands and give her these big wonderful smooshy wet kisses.

Happy Halloween!!
We had a great first Halloween in CA as a family. Georgia and Quinn had a party at school on Friday. Quinn was a skeleton (we left his costume at school Fri-so he borrowed Georgia's pumpkin outfit for Sunday). Georgia was going to be Cinderella but later decided on a ballerina/princess hybrid. Grandma Gaye bought her this dress in the Spring and she wears it almost every day. Georgia's motto might very well be "the more tulle the better." On Sunday we trick or treated with Lilly's family.

Now that is a motley crew!

Quinn wasn't so sure about the pumpkin outfit.

G and Q sporting their super cool costumes. Quinn looks a bit like a french pumpkin.

Princess Power!

Yeah. I'm pretty cute.

Me too.

Pumpkin on the move!

This pumpkin makes my crawling practice a little difficult!

The ladies getting ready to go out and hit the street. They were slow to warm up but we had to drag them back! They even braved a haunted house!

Fall in CA
Here are some pics.
Georgia caught a little chicken at the petting zoo. She is an animal lover for sure.

Quinn had fun watching the girls play on all the toys. He can't wait for next year when he can join in the fun!
Bounce House!
Jump! Jump! Jump!
Up the slide.....
Annie, Georgia, Lily and Mike. Super scary!
Brendan "the monster" twirling the girls at the park.
Run Georgia! Run!
Walking the balance beam.
It was looooong!
View from the park. You can see the ocean when there are less clouds in the sky.
Down the slide!
Pushing the carriage. Hard workers!
Playing in the water table. Boy did these girls sleep hard that night.

Deep Thoughts by Georgia
Delicious!
I'm not sure who taught this girl to eat an ice cream cone...
Georgia: I love my spy glass
Mama: You do? What can you see with your spy glass?
Georgia: Llamas in the jungle.
Mama: What else can you see with your spy glass in the jungle?
Georgia: Dragons
Mama: That's pretty cool
Georgia: Dragons are really nice. They my friends.
Mama: What color dragons are nice?
Georgia: They all nice. Especially the pink ones.
****
Georgia: Mama! Cactus!
Mama: I see, that is a really pretty one.
Georgia (reproachfully): Don't touch it! It is all pokely!
****
Mama: Georgia, do you miss Rocky?
Georgia: Yeah...he in California.
Mama: Yes, he is in California. I miss him too. Auntie Dana is going to bring him down soon.
Georgia: He in a box!
(I found this funny because last time Georgia saw him Rocky was in a kennel for the plane. I felt bad that she thinks he's been in a box for a couple of months!)
Mama: (after holding back major laughter). Well honey. I think Grandma and Grandpa took him out of the box after he got to California. He is playing with the horses now.
****
Mama: Georgia! Don't pull on the door handle when we are driving!
Georgia: Why not?
Mama: Because I don't want you to fall out.
Georgia: Then I get a biiiiiiig boo boo.
Mama: The biggest most awful big boo boo ever! The kind where you can't play for a long time.
Georgia: That's not good.
Quinn on the move!
Quinn's gross motor skills are rockin' all of the sudden. He started army crawling backwards across a room last week. The last few days he is lifting his belly up and getting on his hands and knees to rock back and forth and lunge forward (though most the time he goes backwards). It is pretty exciting but now we'll have to put away the fine china (ha!). I'm guessing he'll figure this out in the next week or so. And then I have a feeling he'll never stop moving....

Yo.

Who me?

This was the best pic I could get of him on his hands and knees. He obviously was thinking "Forget the doll! I'm heading for that maraca!"

Zoo
We spent last Saturday at the San Diego zoo! If you haven't been, it is pretty awesome. In fact, we only made it through 1/3 of the zoo in the four hours we were there. We saw panda bears, giant turtles, snakes, frogs, polar bears, elephants, lions, a swimming leopard, monkeys, hippos, birds, zebras, gazelles, just to name a few. Georgia and her friend Lily loved it! In fact, we were so busy looking at the animals I realized later we didn't take many pictures.
This monkey came right up to Lily and Georgia and knocked on the window. We figured out that he wanted Lily's apple!

Georgia has a book on panda bears and was so excited to see one eat bamboo in person. Mama thought the pandas were a little creepy.

After the zoo we went home and had a nice dinner on our patio (we eat here most evenings). It overlooks the mountains and we can see a peak view of the ocean on nice days. We also found out that the launch hot air balloons on the weekends by our house. There are usually 3 or so floating around.

Georgia and Quinn get such a kick out of each other!

We are here!
O.K. Things have been crazy busy the last month or so. We have officially moved across country to San Diego County! So far so good. We are staying at a hotel until Oct 1. It is close to the beach and has a pool so we have been doing lots of swimming. Both G and Q are water bugs. Q even does a back float!
The kids start their first day of school in CA this morning. Georgia is going to be in the same class as her friend Lily, who we have been spending a lot of time with since getting here. Georgia said "I love Lily" when we were walking out the door for dinner the other night. She also keeps saying about the weather, "It is not too hot and not too cold. It is just right!"
The kids have been sleeping with us. The two of them love to cuddle. Quinn is getting so big that he pushes Georgia away when she gets too cuddly.

Brendan looking fabulous in one of Georgia's new purple clip on earrings.

Quinny is such a big boy! He is almost sitting up all by himself and is about to Army crawl. He wants to so bad!

Quinn is so relaxed in the water. He can do a front and back float!

Georgia riding Lily's bouncing horse. A little more demurely than her mother did as a child.

Quinn is 5 months old!
Quinn is 5 months old! He is such a happy baby, smiling and laughing from morning to night. He could look at your face for hours and loves to talk back to you. He REALLY likes it when his teacher Sunita talks to him in Hindi. He can roll to his back or to his front and loves to play with his feet. He can sit up with help and wants to crawl so bad when we put him on his belly. He can bear weight on his legs and loves the jumparoo and exersaucer. If there is a toy close enough he likes to pull it closer. He still sleeps like a champ but watch out if he gets hungry. He'll scream like a banshee! Solid food is his new obsession and his eyes look to be hazel green and blue. He loves to read, even the car section of the newspaper with Daddy!
Daddy and Mama love this super happy little addition to our family and feel so blessed. Georgia loves rubbing her lips over his super fuzzy hair (which is coming in VERY blond) and told me she loves Quinny "too much."

NH weekend
We accepted an offer on the house last week (was on the market for less than a week-and we got over asking price-very exciting) and have a back up offer pending. We spent the weekend with our friends at their lake house in New Hampshire for some more summer fun.

Georgia is a total water bug and spent a lot of the time playing in the water and on the beach.

The girls also had a blast running up a hill....

...and down a hill. They were exhausted. It was great! Georgia of course is wearing the princess costume over her pajamas.

Daddy and Quinn having some quiet time on the porch when we got home.
